Re: third-party dependencies, I certainly hope we don't fully escape having artisan, maintained libraries that we can share with each other.
I do see value in LLM generation of common patterns reducing the dependency (and insecurity) surface area by, say, baking our own left_pad into a local utilities file. LLM generation may pluck a lot of the low-hanging fruit of minor dependencies like that.
